Creative Nottingham Win

Our view

Following the recent win of the Creative Nottingham Logo Competition, Threerooms have been featured in an article on the Creative Nottingham website. You will also be able to see some of our own articles published on the Creative Nottingham website during October and November as we take on the prestigious 'guest blogger' spot for a few weeks.

Where is he now?

Chris Pich, Political Brand ManDoesn't time fly! Some of you might be able to remember Chris Pich who was part of the Threerooms family back in 2007. Chris was the marketing executive and launched a number of campaigns with the Threerooms family ranging from the "Three Tree's Campaign", "Smile Campaign" and "Meet the Neighbours" initiative to name but a few. In 2007 Chris bid farewell to Threerooms and embarked on a PhD in political marketing and branding at the University of Hull Business School.

Chris describes political marketing as "the application of marketing concepts, principles, strategies, techniques and tools to the political arena in order to achieve a diverse range of predetermined aims and objectives formulated by individuals, political organisations, and governments". The former Threerooms team member is just about to start his final year and hopes his research into political brands (a new area of political marketing), particularly focusing on the UK Conservative Party, will add to the body of knowledge and contribute to the under-researched, timely and sought-after application known as political branding.

Good luck Chris!

A room with a view...

Our view

Well the cold weather has set in for sure! We’ve noticed the sun is very reluctant to get out of bed in the morning (just like one of our designers...!) and its very quick to set. We managed to capture this shot out of our studio window before the sun hit the deck for the night. Its quite pretty where we work!

Alissa joins the team

Threerooms is proud to welcome Alissa to the Threerooms team. As an Account Manager she will be an important part in our service to our customers. She comes fully equiped with a background in Design Agency account management and adds a wealth of the skills to the company's offering.

I'm sure you will be introduced to her in the coming weeks anyway but if you want to get in touch then give her a call on 0115 9062320 and she we will be more than happy to have a chat.

Alissa has really hit the ground running and has fitted in seamlessly, already making a huge difference to the company.

Threerooms whips up a storm with the Cyclone

Design and branding for Cyclone productWith a great new product, what's more important than making a splash? And, at the IOG Saltex Exhibition in September, Park Leisure did exactly that. The new piece of playground equipment, aimed at 8-13 year olds, with its spinning, rocking, gyrating motion, was a real hit to visitors and buyers.

Some great feedback for Threerooms too: "We have been delighted with the work from Threerooms. They have helped make the launch of our new product a real success. From start to finish they have listened to our ideas, absorbed them and come back to us with something even better than we were expecting. It's great to work with another company that is on the same wavelength!"

Ian Morris, MD of Threerooms said: "It was a real pleasure working with Park Leisure on this one. When projects go really smoothly, are really enjoyable to work on for all involved, and ultimately give the client the results they require, it is really rewarding."

Recent office expansion

Threerooms Design Agency expand to larger officesBy taking on additional rooms at its offices at Strelley Hall in Nottingham, Threerooms proves that it is enjoying continued growth in an difficult time for the industry market. Continued application of solid and honest values has meant that customers continue to trust in Threerooms' services and subsequently recommend them to new customers.

With a growing client portfolio and refinement of service it is an exciting time for the company.

The adoption of both the North and South Attic rooms earlier in the year not only gives the company more space to expand but also gives us even better views of the local countryside. Who'd have thought we were only 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the city centre! If you want to to take a look for yourselves then pop by.

Threeroom's creative design gets chosen for new 1000 Fonts bookGood news! Threerooms are really pleased to get design work published in the new designer bible "1000 Fonts".

The book, recently released in June 09, is a comprehensive resource for designers and design companies of all shapes and sizes, offering a comprehensive directory of fonts - 1000 to be exact - as well as work samples from a variety of international design companies.

We're really pleased to have been selected for inclusion in the book. It was a long process but we're delighted to have been selected.

You can get hold of your copy here or if you are passing by our offices you can have a gander at our copy instead.

Fun in the Snow

Okay, so most of the time we're too busy working hard for our clients but some of the Threerooms team managed to get out in the recent snow to build 'Three Snowmen' in the grounds of Strelley Hall. Here are some pics...

Serco Learning goes down a storm at BETT 09

Threerooms is proud to have supported Serco at the years biggest educational event, BETT 09. The event saw an ideal opportunity to unveiled some of the fantastic and innovative new products created by Serco, as well as a glimpse at their proposed direction in the educational software market. Threerooms has had a busy time last year in preparation for this event, including lots of great branding work on no less than 6 new products, as well as supporting literature, advertising, and not forgetting to mention the design work on the exhibition stand itself. 2009 will see the launch of campaigns based around these new products so watch this space!

2 new star additions to the team

We'd like to give a warm welcome to our 2 latest graphic designers Lee and Oliver. With a great range of skills, plenty of industry experience and natural flair for design they are sure to be great additions to the team.

Well done lads!

Well done lads! After an arduous journey the intrepid cyclists finally managed to make it "To Skeggy and Back". Covering 184 miles, and barring some minor injuries and a few sore bums, the boys, sponsored by Rolls Royce and Threerooms, got back safe and sound.

Well done chaps, we're proud to have represented you.

Threerooms sponsors cycle ride for cancer unit

In September a team of 6 guys will be cycling 184 miles from Derby to Skegness and back over 2 days to raise money for the Nightingale Macmillan Unit. Threerooms, along with Rolls-Royce, will be the proud sponsors of the team and wish them all the best for their grueling challenge.

Ugly mug in The Drum

Keep an eye out for the New Year issue of The Drum, one of the UK's best design, advertising and communications magazines. Threerooms will run several new adverts to promote our services in 08, but more importantly our Creative Director got his ugly mug in the New Year Vox Pops - some people are just born for radio aren't they.

Great start to the new year

Okay, so we are well in to January now (can you believe it?) and our feet have barely touched the ground. We're keeping busy with some great new projects that we are sure to be proud of, including; flash animations, an eCommerce website/online store, some great re-branding projects and lots of cool design work too. We can't be too specific at the moment but stay tuned and we'll keep you informed. :-)

Proof that Graphic Design works - as if we didn't know!

Okay, so it's no real surprise to us - as we see the benefit from our clients day in, day out - but it is nice to see that the facts and figures add up too. The Design Council's 'Value of Design Fact Finder' provides evidence that businesses that use graphic design perform better than those that don't, cool.

Bangin' the drum for England...

Did you spot us in the last 2 issues of Media and Marketing magazine "The Drum"? Well, it wasn't hard to miss - the ads were bright green!

In a spot of brand awareness, Threerooms have been targeting marketeers in England to show them some of the things that are important to us, such as Dedication and Passion for our work. These adverts, just teasers really, will be followed up by a run of banner ads in the publication throughout 2008. Keep and eye out for the green.

Free trees for Clients

For every new client we work for in 2007, 2008 and 2009 we will plant 3 nice new trees in a forest in the local area. It's not gonna change the world but its a start.

You can't handle a bigger logo!

If ever there was a place where client meets creative head-to-head it usually follows this phase "Can our logo be any bigger?" If you have any idea what I'm talking about then you might find this funny:

Change this, change that...

I know, I know, I know, it doesn't seem 5 minutes since we last changed our website, but believe it or not it has been nearly 12 months since we modified our own little .com

Now there is nothing wrong with our previous site but as we grow so does our online need and our new website should serve us well for the future (or at least for the next 12 months anyway - until we get itchy fingers again!)

So keep your eyes peeled and watch this space as this new site develops.
