BBC's Robin returns to Nottingham
Travel anywhere in the world and chances are people will have heard of Nottingham because of Robin Hood. We are very proud of our city so were delighted to be involved in the creative campaign to promote the return of Robin Hood to Nottingham Castle.
The return was in the form of an exhibition developed exclusively for Nottingham Castle in which visitors could discover the magic behind the highly acclaimed BBC series, and see the actual props and costumes used in the Robin Hood TV show.
Working with Nottingham City Council, Nottingham Castle and the BBC we developed a design for the marketing campaign which involved us using studio photography of Robin, Marian and the Sheriff and placing them in a magical
woodland scene.
The campaign was used all over Nottingham, on flagpoles, ad shells, large banners on Nottingham Council House and the Castle, and projected onto the Theatre Royal. We also created press preview invitations, promotional leaflets, posters and press adverts and a Christmas card which was sent to all school children in the Nottinghamshire area.
