WOYSIES Creative characters invade Nottingham city
Meet the WOYSIES,
a colourful bunch of characters who invaded Nottingham city, helping residents save money throughout the recession.
As part of a pitch, we were asked to develop a creative marketing campaign to offer help and advice to Nottingham City residents, forming part of the existing 'We're On Your Side' campaign. It had to cover 5 key issues, including saving money on heating, getting a job, applying for benefits, family days out, and discounts available. While other agencies focused on the negative issues surrounding the recession we focussed on the positive which subsequently won us the pitch!
The WOYSIES (standing for We're On Your Side 'ies') made appearances on over 70 bus shelters throughout Nottingham, lamppost banners and press adverts, and was one of Nottingham City Council's most successful campaigns.
