The Annual Foody Mecca is Back in Town!
Nottingham’s Food and Drink Festival 2011 is in town and if you haven’t made it into the city to sample this years delicious offering then don’t worry – there’s still time as the festival is on until Sunday 10th!
This years Food and Drink Festival is a whopping 12 day affair, comprising of a 4 day food market in Old Market Square, Festival Menus and Special Events, all provided by over 70 of the city’s venues and brought to you by our client We Are Nottingham Leisure.
Once again, the Threerooms team donned their creative aprons and cooked up another great batch of Food and Drink Festival artwork and promotional items to help launch the festival across the city, including: Flags, t-shirts, posters, pull up banners, council house banners, lamppost banners, press adverts, online adverts, bus advertising, 6 sheet advertising, Cornerhouse banner advertising, plus this years programme the must have guide for all foodies!
With the format for this year’s festival being different to that of previous years, it is much longer and without the usual celebrity chef presence, we had to take a different approach in selling the festival. The programme is the key piece to communicate the benefits of the festival, which we worked tirelessly on to create an easy to use guide.
Most venues taking part in the festival provided a range of special menus covering four price ranges, including up to 6 courses, plus the same venue then hosted several special events. We created a simple cross referencing key so that a user of the guide could easily see what each venue had to offer, plus their map reference that showed the venue’s location on the map.
The whole project was extremely successful with all deadlines met and the programmes ready in time for the launch party, held at Tonic in Chapel Bar, which was enjoyed to the max by the account manager in charge of the project, who enjoyed a cheeky Cosmo or two…!
