A taste sensation with a brand
Nottingham’s Market Square is the setting for a number of events throughout the year, one of the highlights being the annual Food and Drink Festival, hosted by our clients ‘We Are Nottingham’.
Following the re-brand project we worked on for We Are Nottingham earlier in the year, we were asked to put together a brand identity for the Food Festival that would retain a fresh appearance for future use and appeal to all those foodies out there.
The festival is a four day event and involves the business members of the Leisure BID plus local suppliers, showing and selling their wares to the public, with entertainment from a host of celebrity chefs, including the dreamy Gino D’Campo – swoon!
…..Sorry, back to the branding!
The demonstration areas and celebrity chef theatre stages proudly carried our branding, which was applied to: a variety of event graphics, pull up banners, council house banners, way finding signage, email invitations, web banners, posters, t-shirts, bus advertising - plus the programme of events and special offers. Phew!
The festival had a very successful launch party at The Living Room in the Lace Market, where local businesses gathered for a champagne reception and nibbles where the new brand was revealed along with the programme of events. All were received very well and the Threerooms staff who attended were thrilled to overhear lots of very positive comments about the new branding, “Its so much better than last year!” being our favourite!
The event took place 23-26 September and in true British style, it tipped it down with rain, but it didn’t dampen the crowds spirit.
As Sylvia Manser, We Are Nottingham Leisure CEO said;
“This year's Nottingham Food and Drink Festival was a fantastic success… Despite some dreadful weather we managed to increase visitor numbers by 30% on last year with 24,000 people visiting."
